Responsibilities:
PROPS: As a member of the prop team you will be asked to assist with
planning/brainstorming sessions and purchasing of props prior to the
Living Christmas Tree. You will also be assigned an area of
responsibility at Thompson-Boling Arena to assist with the flow of
props from location to location during the production. Each member
of the prop team will be asked to set aside time after the final
performance to help pack up and load all of the props into the prop
truck for storage.
SETS: As a member of the set team you will be asked to assist with the
movement of set pieces on and off the stage during the production.
Each member of the set team will be asked to assist with load-in and
load-out of the production. Each member will also be asked to assist
with construction or assembly/dis-assembly of each set piece for
storage.
Requirements:
Able to lift and move heavy objects
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Willing to assist week of LCT with load-in and load-out
Willingness to work in teams
Must be a Junior in High School or older
Attend any backstage meetings scheduled
Time Commitment:
1st meeting – last Thursday of September – 2 hours
2nd meeting – last Sunday of November – 1 hour
Shopping and purchasing of props – 1-2 hours per week
LCT dress rehearsal & performances – 14 hours
LCT load-in & load-out – 4-5 hours commitment
