The Celebration Choir is a group of adults committed to leading our church in authentic, exciting worship. They lead worship in the morning and evening worship services at Sevier Heights in addition to participating in recordings, tours, revivals, special events and the Living Christmas Tree.
The Instrumental Music Ministry has always been a vital part of worship at Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Our 60-member Celebration Orchestra rehearses weekly and leads worship during Sunday morning and evening services. In weekly services, the Celebration Orchestra accompanies congregational worship with the Celebration Choir. Occasionally the orchestra performs solo and participates in recording projects. We also have an array of instrumental ensembles.
The Living Christmas Tree is an annual production presented by the Sevier Heights Celebration Choir and Orchestra that shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music, singing and drama. Numerous volunteers are needed each year to assist with costuming, childcare, ticketing, food, media, altar counseling and more. For more information visit www.knoxtree.org.
Church media is unique in that it has a special ability to bring an unchanging gospel to an ever-changing world. Here at Sevier Heights, there exists a group of people who are responsible for delivering the gospel message to over a hundred thousand people annually.
An important part of the Media Ministry is the Student Media Team. This is a program developed for students who have not yet graduated from High School. We strongly believe in the investment of students, especially as technology becomes a bigger part of our lives.
Student Impact is all about students serving God. Students will have the opportunity to use their musical, dramatic and technical talents in our student worship services including children’s, preteen, middle school and high school ministries.
For those of us who are not gifted with song or a love of technical things, there are still many ways to get involved supporting our worship services. You will find them here.
