Host A Small Group

Being a Small Group (SG) leader often sounds much more intimidating than it actually is. Facilitator or host is probably a better description than leader as you do not have to teach or even speak a lot. Our SG leaders make the commitment to facilitate group discussions on a weekly basis based upon material chosen by the group. Simply put, all you have to do is help get discussion going amongst your small group of 6-12 people.

We form small groups composed of all men, women, or couples, so our leaders also will fall into those three categories. Many husbands and wives lead a couples small group together to share responsibility. Finally, most of our SG leaders choose to host their small group in their homes although you can meet at the church on certain nights or even at a local restaurant or coffee house.
